357 max reaming

As soon as the reamer gets here I'll be taking the 357 max. ream plunge, any advice, I know to take the ejector out and use plenty of cutting oil and clean offten.Any advice would be a big help,thanks in advance.

Just let the reamer do the cutting.  Don't put any pressure on it at all.  I found that if you put the barrel in a vise in the vertical position it works good.  this way the reamer is going straight all the time. Put some black marker or something on the rim cut so you can tell when the reamer touches it.

Like Tims quote says, be very consious of side to side pressure. Its pretty easy to egg shap a chamber with the longer reamers. The deeper they are the easier this is to do. its not hard to do, the whole thing will likely be done in 10 minutes!! I didn't have to do a maxi as mine was factory chambered, but I have done a couple others.
 I make one complete turn, removed the reamer, blew out the chamber and the reamer, oiled the reamer and repeat. Just GO SLOWLY. You will be a master in no time!!!

It seems scary at first but it's a cake walk.  I only cleaned the reamer every 3 turns and I used an air nozzle to blow the chips out of the barrel.  Go slow and use lots of oil.

Peice of cake the reamer I used (DJs the one that got passed around several years ago) didn't have  the rim cutter built in all you had to do was turn it till the rim bottomed out zip your done no chance of cutting to deep. I really like that rifle, It will be one of the last I ever let go. 8)
