savage model 24 over and under 223/12ga.

does anyone know where to find a scope mount for this machine   bought it last year without a scope mount and savage says b-square made it but neither place says they have it?

thanks for the time but this one screws into the side of the gun with 2 screws and curves with the barrel and doesnt have any screws on top  the local gunsmith said he didnt think the 223 barrel was thick enough to tap it so i'll see if someone else has this type of gun

The barrel on mine isn't tapped either, there is a rail on them that is silvered to the barrel and the rail is drilled and tapped for the mount.  Larry

Hard to imagine how this works, unless it goes into the side of the barrel block I can't inagine how it is supposed to work.  Larry
