Last year I picked up a copy of Building 18th Century Naval Artillery.  I was pretty impressed with the book and feel that it would helpful for anyone building their own naval carriage.

I know the Zulu has had an opportunity to review the book.  I know several others here picked up the book also.  

What do you guys think of the book? Useful? Helpful?

DD,
I read the book from cover to cover twice.  It gives detailed verbage and pictures on "how to" build.  I think most of us could put together a carriage that looks good.  This book shows the structural side that allows the carriage to withstand the rigors of live fire.  That, to me, was the most important part.

Are they charging $30 in shipping, or is that the total?

its very well written , if you follow the step by step instructions I would guess that anyone could build that carriage without any prior experiance
