Brett:  Correction, this is not the Washington Post, It is the Washington Times.

Yes this article tells it like it is.  Many of the incidents where a tragedy is averted are never reported.

Like last year when I had to pull my gun when the two men came into my buddies shop with knives and threatened us.  We never called the police, why bother.  The police would have wanted to see my permit, then they would have given us a hard time for not having the door locked.  And it would have turned to being our fault.  Nope, we handled it.

The news media is looking for sensationalism, that is what they are looking for, the heck with the truth.

Guys I remember seeing this on the 6 and 10 o'clock news.
Short blurb maybe 15 to 20 seconds.
Nothing else the next day.
And that's in a state that is relatively gun friendly.

On another story there was a pharmacist who shot a thug trying to rob him.
Made the mistake of reloading while on store video.
They're going after him for attempted murder.
It's on the news everytime one of the lawyers farts.
