This has been the debate since Christ. Every generation just knows they are the last---AND, there will be a last.
there are those who find the end in every event, the Anti-christ in everybody who sticks their head up.
I am a firm believer that BELIEVERS will KNOW the signs and they will not require end time scholars too lead them.
Society, as a general rule, will be as chicken little---they are now and will be whenever. The unbeliever may be afraid but being afraid does not make you a believer---they will tremble, perhaps, after the fact. In some intances they will be clueless to the end.
I care not when--or if I am around until the last---I KNOW my eternity.
Blessings

Amen Bill..I'm with you on that !

The "Atlas Shrugged" I was talking about was the title of a book by the late  Ayn Rand.. who was an brilliant though unfortunately, totally secular writer.
She was a refugee from Communist Russia, and in this book she pictured a world where the truly brilliant inventors, designers, engineers and producers, rebelling from an overbearing, overtaxing federal beaurocracy...simply gave up, quit. They founded a secret society in a hidden area..and let the rest of their world go to H in a handbasket.

Rand also wrote the book "The Fountainhead" concerning a brilliant architect who wouldn't compromise what was right for what was money-making & expedient. Made into a movie..starring Gary Cooper..

I read Atlas Shrugged a couple of years ago. It was an interesting read. Altlas Shrugged was written in the late 50's, but it very well could pertain to today's world.
My son just gave me another Ayn Rand book to read. Its called "We The Living".

Jim Quinn who is a conservative talk show host mentions the book Atlas Shrugged quite often.
