Pachmayr grip screw length?

Checked the FAQs and a 1/4-inch Allen head machine screw is called for. What length should I buy to fit my Pachmayr grip to the frame?

Mine uses a 1/4"-20 3" screw on the G1. If you can't find an Allen head bolt that long you can get a 3" hex head, grind the head round, and slot it with a hacksaw and file. Hey, nobody's going to see it.

You can buy a 1/4-20 slotted head cap screw and grind the head diameter down to size.

Give me a mailing address and I'll mail you a collection of allen head machine screws of varying lengths. It will keep you out of the ghetto.......
