Heads Up! Boyd's Marlin 917 Lam Nutmeg Thumbhole Stocks On Sale!

I have been wanting to replace the crappy looking factory stock on my Marlin 917 for quite some time now with a nice looking laminated thumbhole stock. I liked the Revolution Tundra stocks, but when I got on their site they said these were discontinued for the Marlin 917. They were also $160. Just for the heck of it I checked out the Boyds site and was suprised that they had their unfinished nutmeg thumbhole 917 Marlin stock on sale for $60! It came out to $72 with shipping. Not bad at all! I'll decide how to finish it when it gets here. I'll probably do a Pure Tung Oil finish or plan B would be an oil scrub BLO finish.
