I will ALWAYS be a Packer fan. I will always pull for the Packers no matter who they play. The pack is out, so why not root for our other NFC North team? Before Favre came along, they suffered through several miserable seasons. While he was there he was fun to watch and led them to a super bowl win. I have rooted for him all season (except for the two viking-packer games). Oh well, to each his own I guess.

By the way, I managed to get out Pike fishing yesterday. It was pretty slow-only two flags (no fish). It was beautiful outside, so it was a good day anyways.

They had a nice run, but as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west the Viqueen's predictably blow it in grand fashion....  :'(I will say this that SOB is tougher than anyone playing the game.  Hopefully he will come home now and get rid of the ugly purple. ;D

I will say this that SOB is tougher than anyone playing the game.

In the long run, especially during the first 8 games of the season, I ended up sort of happy that Favre didn't play for the Packers any longer. This feeling was further verified after watching what he went through today. He got hit so hard on that one play, that he probably didn't even know what planet he was on for a few minutes afterwards. God I hated to see him get clobbered like that. I practically had a tear in my eye after the play where he had to hop off the field.

If he had played for Green Bay during the first 8 games this season, he'd probably still be in the hospital, in traction. I doubt that he would have endured the 45 sacks like a younger Aaron Rodgers did. Some will say that he would have avoided many of the sacks that Rogers took. But even if he would have avoided 1/3 of them, I fear he would have ended up with broken bones. That's not the way I would have wanted to see the great one end his career. After the beating and defeat he took today, I doubt he will return next year. But with Favre, you never know.

I agree with all of that, skunk.Well said. Normaly I have always hated the queens, but today I rooted for Favre to take them to the super bolw, which btw would  have made for far better ratings than with the saints. If Brett retires, we can all go back to hating the Vikings, just like the wolves....LOL

;D Well said Peterbilt, well said. I'm already anxious to see the first game next season between the Packers and Vikings. I'm thinking that Favre's wife and the rest of his family are going to step in and not allow him to come back - they love him too much to see him get severely injured.

By the way, how is the fishing going Cheese?  ;)

My hate never waivered for the Queen's and never will.  I enjoyed that loss almost as much as the 98 season when the only fieldgoal they missed was for the NFC title.  Only thing I wish is that Favre wasn't a part of it.  Hard watching him get beat up like that, but it was worth the loss.

At toast to an empty Lombardi case in Minnesota. ;D
