I just bought a Bushnell Trophy 2-6 X 32 to go on a 218 Bee. I also had a Leupold 2X on a Herrett barrel. The Leupold seems easier to line my eye up with than the Bushnell, but it's been too cold here to get to the range to try them side by side.
This year I put a Bushnell Holosight on the Herrett and found it much easier to line up on a running deer compared to the Leupold. I had the Holosight on my slug gun last year, didn't like it there, but it's found a new home on the Contender. If I were to get another sight like this I'd look at a Burris Fastfire. The Bushnell uses 2 "N" batteries, it seems to be battery hungry so I carry spares with me.
I also have a 1" Millet red dot on my HS Victor. Again, until I get to the range I'll have to compare the red dot and Leupold to see what I'm going to use on this gun.
For a hunting 22 I don't see the need for anything over a 4X scope. Even though the red dot and holosights are 1X you may want to look at them for 22 ranges.
