Even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then
« on: January 09, 2010, 07:50:57 PM »
I stopped by the local scrap dealer to look through any scrap rifle brass that had been turned in.  I found 180+ new never loaded RP 45/70 brass. Cost $2 per pound!  :o   :o    :o  So it cost me about $10.

I just hope the gun shop still has the 45/70 I saw the other day.  I was torn between getting the 45/70 or a varmint rifle.  Well I guess the 17M2 and 243 will have to handle the varmints for a little while longer.

Finding a deal on brass is a good enough reason to get a 45-70;D (as if you need a reason) Congratulations on the find. ;)
