? for dog experts

I have a 5 year old English Springer that is semi trained for waterfowl and upland game. All I really wanted was a dog to flush birds and retrieve and she is serving that purpose dispite my poor training. This summer she got a serious inflamation in her salivary gland which effected her jaw and one eye. She now seems to have lost or has very limited vision in that eye but is otherwise healthy. I noticed that she has started having trouble finding the birds. She sees the birds drop and will make a beeline for them but stops short about a third of the way there and starts searching. her training with hand signals is a bit sloppy so things are not going that great. My thoughts are that the vision problem has effected her depth perception. Any thoughts?
Just another worthless opinion!!

I'm far from a dog expert, but I think you may be right. Without one eye, 3 dimensional vision may get screwed up.
