Barrel questions

In a deal last year, I picked up three barrel blanks.  One, a 1-12 twist .375 blank, a Douglas 1-16 twist .357 blank, and a 1-7 twist .224 blank.  At the moment, total cost in all three is under a C-note.
Is it feasible to attempt to make a barrel block to be welded to these barrels, or should I just pass on this and put them onto other rifles? 
What I have in mind for the .375 barrel is a nice .38-55 carbine, a 22" .357 Max, and a dedicated 'heavy' bullet .22-250.....

It's been talked of before,,
 Too many complications with the heat of welding and proper temper to maintain safe conditions, the general concensus is a thumbs down to the welding issues on barrels. Sure it all can be done,, but boo-coo bucks unless your a pro shop with all the equipment.
 Much easier to thread the ends and screw into a proper receiver. So guy's find shotgun barrels, stub and thread an,,et al,,

Wayne York of Oregunsmithing (site sponsor) was going to cut an underlug from a donor barrel and weld it to a Shilen blank for me to make a 6.5x55, but he chose to do a stub instead, see stubbing in the FAQs if you're not familiar with it.

i have two H@R shotgun actions that have had underlugs made for them and put on with silver solder . theses were black powder barrels (muzzle loaders)
