hey krag fans check out my bull pup
« on: October 12, 2011, 10:48:06 PM »
I had a new take off  barrel and a decent old Krag action. then got a lathe. If I dont have to read the wind, it'll hold 1/2"@ 100yds with good loads. Yea I hope to shoot an elk this year with it. Let me hear your thoughts.

Another wonderful old warhorse taken over by the dark side.
Dr Frankenphister you are an evil man ;D

Actually it looks pretty neat ,but I would rather have one in original military as issued condition.

Have any pictures of the groups?  What caliber is that new barrel that causes it to get affected by the wind so bad?

I was just curious as you originally said...

I'm also curious... What advantages do you consider having w/ the bullpup setup in a bolt action over a conventional style stock?  It seems to me that it would be more of a hinderance than anything as you would have to completely remove yourself from the rifle to cycle the action.
