why over sized stocks on NEA's

 how come the stocks on the NEA's don't fit the receivers worth a darn where it buts up at ?

It's easier to make them oversize than to make them match better due to manufacturing tolerances.  But I know what you mean, they become very clunky.  I guess that gives us an opportunity to work them over to make them look better.  Has anybody done this?  Pictures?

 Fred up in the great white nort has some BEAUTIFUL rifle stocks he has reworked and finished!!  Pics on te FAQ's.

Even accounting for manufacturing tolerances they are fatter than they were on the old H&Rs, and they were fat. With the new CNC stock machines (which I assume they are using) they could get it mighty close and it would NOT cost them any more. This is just sloppy work. There is not a downside to a company tightening up it's standards and providing quality customer service.

Better stock fit, better bluing, and barrels that bolt on without fitting would make these guns much more appealing. None of those would add much, with the CNC equipment today. I think its time Fred show off his .257 again! It looks like  a much higher priced gun.
