Winchester Model 1897

:D I am interested, in buying a Winchester Model 1897 shotgun , I have a C&R FFL; does anyone know for sure if this qualifies as a C&R firearm. I am not sure myself. Thanks for the time in reading this question.Dan

Not sure of the law but when I bought mine it had to go to an FFL then to me.

I believe because the '97 was made up until the 50's, it does not qualify as a C&R firearm..............

:D The shot gun I have my eye on was produced in 1918, so I believe the 50 year rule applies. Futher research at the ATF web sight I believe states "Winchester, Model 1897, pump action shotguns, all gauges, manufactured between 1899 and 1957, S/N's 1 through 1,024,700". I belie if all local laws are abided by it is a C&R FFL firearm?...Thanks for all the help Dan
