last weekend

Anyone else going?

We're heading to Johnson county Thursday morning. I really didn't have the money to go but three of us are going in one truck so we can split the gas and hotel room three ways.

Three days to hunt and It looks like I can only get 1-1/2 in. Bad part is that I have not taken a 2009 season deer yet...liabilitys were flooding and standing corn and also the fact that I let some pass by.
It is still great to be out there.

Have you given up on the packers? Or just until next season?

It's more of a Favre thing, Jim. Packers are out, and I want a team to get behind, might as well be Favre's team. But it's pretty hard to cheer for Favre without cheering for the Vikings, so I'll be sporting the Vike's helmet until they're either out of it or win the Super Bowl. But come next summer training camp, you'll be seeing my beloved Packer's helmet once again. ;)

I blew it!

Frday morning, waited for sunrise and nothing. Two hours later I fell asleep and awoke to two does running away. Nothing else all day or the next. :-[

The deer were all herded up in the middle of the winter wheat fields.  I really didn't hear of anyone killing anything down here in Mason County
