my biggest ever

got him this morning the bigest grey ive ever caught i dont have a scale but i guess between 16 and 18 lb's

have you ever seen a black one ? Its a color phase that happens every so often according to the Game dept. 2 have been taken where i hunt in the last few years . So far this year my son has gotten 2 bobcats and three fox . Not bad for the first week he set traps .

Where it should have been gray it was black and every where else it was silver . I wish i had a picture to post .

we have mostly greys here a few reds but ive only ever seen one red here it was road kill

Out side Blackstone Va is where we hunt and he traps . It is middle to southern piedmont area . About 40 or so miles south west of Richmond Va.

we have bobcats ive only ever got one but they seem to be a lot here deer hunters get a lot.we have a season limit of 3

My son says he has to set traps for bobcats to get big ones . Young ones will hit gray fox sets . He caught a gray fox and reset the trap the next night got a small bobcat . The next night got a possum . He had a buddy get a bear cub this year. said when he saw the cub he knew he was in trouble . The old sow made a noise and the cub pulled the stake out the ground and took off with mom behind , lucky !
