I took my first hog today! The gun is a 30-06 with walnut Mannlicher stock, a Bushnell 3200 3x9 on medium Leupold rings. The 40-yard shot went in the shoulder and out the other side, flipped the pig four feet in the air DRT. This was in the condor zone, so I was shooting Remington Lapua Naturalis 180 gr. The exit wound was only about the size of a nickle, but everything in between the shoulder blades was liquified. The heart was punched through dead center. I put a lot of time into this rifle modifying it, bedding the forend, floating the barrel, testing various ammo etc. It's rare when things work out exactly as planned, I couldn't be more pleased.
