i have an old 16ga h&r topper need some help figuring it out.

i have a topper 16 gauge which somone put the new style transbar saftey in. it wont fire i wonder what it could be.i figure the firring pin.but the way they got all the newer stuff in the older gun i dont really no.would i have too use the newer style firring pin in it.it would be nice to have all the old parts back in it.is the new style hammers and the old style shaped differant?

Do you have any pictures you can post. It helps me if I have pictures to see what is going on with your firing system.
