Smith & Wesson I Bolt
« on: January 25, 2010, 09:08:19 AM »
Already tried a search for this info...Was just wondering who had any expeirence with the S&W I Bolt. Reliability? Accuraccy? Overall opinion. A guy I know is selling one NIB, never been fired, never even had a scope mounted on it for $300. He's an admitted gun nut that just wants to sell a few of his purchases that take up space to finance a custom rifle project. Gimme some feedback, I'm strongly consiering this rifle even though I need another rifle like I need a hole in the head, lol.

~Thanks

I have one in 25-06, got it new for $200.00 after the rebate.  Mine has the camo stock.  It is functional, shoots OK after I pillar bedded it, but I think that $300 is a little high for an orphan gun that never did have a following.  The trigger is good on mine, and easy to adjust, I am just not sure what I will do with it.  I did have some feeding problems at first but got it sorted out.  The factory service guys don't even have parts drawings, you have to tell them what the part looks like and then they send you what they think you need, took them a couple of tries for my problem.  Larry
A gun is just like a parachute, if you ever really need one, nothing else will do.
