They are on the side right above the rail mount and they are at the end of the model number. i gues they are around 1/16 inch...

So you say that it is really really obvious, can't be missed by anyone within 10 yards or so.

You're not gonna see it on normal use which is why SSgt had to go back and check. I doubt most of the military or any Muslims knew it was there.

Do you happen to know how this story became a story? Even an unusually diligent examination of these devices would not lead one to notice a pattern of bible verse references embedded cryptically in their serial numbers.

well, our pc army  has put the pc pressure on the company and they announced they would not do it any more. even gen. petraeus said they verses were disturbing.

so now they will make no more with it on the rifles and issue the military tools to remove from rifles now in service. what a crock.

just another example of the pc world destroying the military. look at the ft. hood report where no mention was made of the terrorist that murdered the soldiers was a muslim. there was no menrion of terrorist.... nothing.

so whiler obama and the far left has had their grass clipped pretty short there is still al lot that will need to be corrected. one of the first things that needs tending is the application of "PC" in the military.

Oh well, it's time for the company to start something a little more cryptic and then not let their workers know about it. They could make each serial number an encoded message that, if decoded, would say something like Allah Is A Fink.

lol...man i wish they would let me put a quote on them...i have a few good ones. besides the idea that the bad guys worry more about whats written on the side of  the weapon more than the bullet thats coming out the muzzle is pure fantasy.

While youre waiting for that rifle, Brother Nelson I have someplace warm for it to stay.

I think John 3:16 should be inscribed right next to the John 8:12

Its only neccesary to know HOW he thinks, and unfortunately our enemies, through the "left" know us like the back of their hands!

Ironglowjr;

   In his post #9, Red Alder Ranch says (in line E) that many of the people who complained about the JN 8:12 were soldiers in the field.
  Through 2 deployments in Iraq and your present assignment..you must have used, dispensed, repaired and sighted in perhaps thousands of M16s, and dealt with the Marines who carry them...
    How many Marines have complained about the verse being on the ACOG ?

don't let this get out but ... I almost hesitate to say it ... we use crosshairs when sighting. We literally look through a Cross at our enemies. Can you imagine that? Please don't leak that to the press.

    TN;
   Love those "crosshairs"..maybe we can get the libs to persuade the jihadists to take the CROSShairs out of their scopes... :D ;D

      BTW: Red Alder, before you get your boxers in a bunch..read the latest AMERICAN RIFLEMAN..It has an article abnout the AK versions being manufactured by the Iraqi govt and issued to their troops. Those AKs have Islamic markings all over them...shouldn't you get hold of Micheal Newdow and the ACLU..then go over to Baghdad and tell them they better quit that ?

Well the anti Christian fanatics have won.  Trijicon has agreed to remove the verse references from their serial numbers.

I think this hole thing is so dang stupid.  It's just a sequence of letters and numbers.  It's not like there is an actual quoted Bible verse inscribed on the dang things.   Unless you are a Bible scholar most won't know what the scripture references are unless you look them up.  How many Muzzies carry a Bible?

p.s.;  The bar code on my Wheaties directed me to Mat.3:12  :o

The other side has rifles with battles from the Bible as their model name . Should we be offended because of that or be offended because they are shooting at us ?

I'm a little put out that they exist, after that it dont matter. I am very offended that there are people in this country that hate it and do what they can to destroy it. JN 8:12
