CHRISTmas Puma

I picked up a LSI 44 mag M92 Puma from Big5 using a 20% off coupon  last month.  240 gr mag loads are right on POI with the rear sight slider all the way down.  180 gr mag loads the print 6" high with the rear sight slider still all the way down at 25 yds.  I'm impressed with the 1892 action,  maybe I should get a higher front sight.  I'm thinking about the XS Cowboy Express front sight with White bead at .500" height.  The Rossi feels solid and like a bank vault.

I'v got the Puma also in 44 mag. and I have to take the rear sight elevator out to get it print on the bullseye at 50 yrds.with 240 gr bullets 270 gr. speers and 300 xtp's will print if I lower the rear sight all the way down, mine is smooth as butter and fells good in your hands. Enjoy
an unloaded wepon is equal to the same mass and volume as a rock.

I thought the heavier the bullet the higher it would print because it is slower and spends more time in the barrel when recoiling.

That is a general rule for handguns but not rifles. With rifles all bets are off on where a bullet will hit in relation to any other given bullet.
