Fencing for Axis and Fallow deer
« on: February 21, 2010, 04:25:28 PM »
I would like to keep a few Axis or fallow deer on my private ranch.  I know a whitetail deer fence should be 8' high.  However, I have been told that axis and/or fallow deer do not jump as well as a whitetail.  What is the recommended fencing height for an axis or fallow deer?  Thanks.

Same as for whitetail I believe. A whitetail can clear an 8' fence if it wants to. I've personally seen them jump higher.
