Dovetail ramp for single six 32?
« on: February 14, 2010, 06:51:27 AM »
I have a ruger 32H&R in single six, adjustable sights that shoots too high...Need to change to a different front sight & the HiViz aftermarket is also too short.  Anybody install a 3/8 dovetail ramp to one of these...the barrels mics .619 at end of barrel...Have seen ramps for .625 but don't know if screw holes will line up. If it would work I could add any 3/8 slotted sight to get the right height.  Don't really want to gunsmith it if I can avoid (he's sloooow). Anybody have info on this? Thanks, Scott

Contact Ruger and ask them for one of the taller front Patridge style front sights used on their semi auto pistols.  They screw on just like the ramp sight and the bevelled cut in the blade does not reflect light so you always have a dark front blade.

All of my single sixes have the patridge style front sight (except 9.5" models with silhouette sights.)

Call Ruger and ask about sending it back to them to get it right.
