Subcaliber devices for Contender

Has/Does anyone use the subcaliber devices in their Contender? I've been thinking of getting a .22 WMR and .22 LR for my .222 Rem barrel. Is it worth it? Are they accurate? Is there any possible damage to the barrel by using them?
Just searching for opinions. Thanks.

Used two in 223 carbine barrel. 22LR stainless works OK, about like cheap rifle. 22Mg blue is terrible. So bad plinking, never bothered to put on paper.
