You Tube, subject and point
« on: January 26, 2010, 08:45:22 AM »
I don't know about others but it has gotten to where if a You Tube link doesn't give at least the subject and the point in brief, I don't look at it.

Ya got that right. These posts with nothing but a link are getting to the point I may incorporate it as a rule that ya gotta also type in enough info to at least let us know what it is and why we should spend our time clicking it.

You mean a subject like "Cool video" and then the link isn't enough for you?

I gotta agree.  Youtube is a good way to trade videos and such, but I like to at least know what I'm going to be watching.

PARTICULARLY if I click on a link at work.  If it pulls up a scene from C-SPAN or something like that - all fine and dandy.  A girl in a bikini firing an M16?  Not so great if someone walks in.

Even aside from Youtube, pretty much any post that is just a link with an accompanying "Look at this" or "this makes me made" tag I'm not going to bother reading/watching.
