Does anyone know how to stop leather holsters from squeaking or making noise? :'(I love leather but, i just cant stand the noise :'(.When hiking i like to be quiet.I have nylon ones that dont make noise :D,but i just dont care for them.Can anything be done?.Thanks pan. :)

Whatever you use don't use Neatsfoot Oil, it will soften your holster till it becomes sloppy & mis-shaped. You might try Lexol on the belt loop that is usually where noise comes from as it moves against the belt at every step. I'd really be hesitant to use oil etc on the holster body as they can cause the holster to loosen up.

I here ya Frank.Thanks for your advice,thats one of the reasons i havnt done anything yet.Its very annoying,trying to be quiet and anything up ahead  has got ya spoted way before you know its anywhere near you..pan.

i once had a holster that did that it squeeked so bad that i got ridd of it then someone told me how to stop it
just sook in water for half an hour and bag the pistol and put in the holster after 12 hours or so take pistol out and use mink oil
it works for mee

Wear it and break it in.  My CC holster stopped squeaking after about a week of constant use.

makes me crazy too. only trick i found was using it, which is a great excuse to get out of the house and play.

I stopped my saddle from squeeking by covering the insides  with baby powder.

Thanks guys.Iv been usin this holster for a couple of years,its NOT new.Im gonna try and use some powder first,then neetsfoot oil if that dont work.AAAHHHH,i realy like this holster except for the noise.
