Swivels for a Browning 1885 / B78
« on: October 10, 2003, 06:18:10 PM »
Hello, I'm new to this forum, just traded for a B78 in 25/06. The rifle has rings and bases, but no swivels. Any good ideas on finding some, didn't see any on e-Bay.  Thanks for any help. Stater :D

Hi Stater,
I am new to this forum too.  The swivels were made by Pachmayr.  They are still available, but unfortunately the shank diameter has been changed at some time in the past.  The new swivels will not fit the old sockets.  There is a note about this on the Lyman/Pachmayr web site.

You could get a complete set and replace the sockets.
