I have the Savage 17 HMR with the MKII reciever, Thumbhole SS Bull barrel that I bought from Dicks Sporting Goods several years ago, I like the new 93R17 BSEV with the Fluted Barrel and Thumbhole Stock. I was going to buy this stock for my existing gun but thought I might just sell the old gun and buy the new one with the E reciever. Is the E reciever worth the upgrade or should I just buy the stock for my current gun?
