Congrats. Pass the gravy! I wish we had does that big here in central Texas. What load? How does the .30-06 do in a short barrel?

Shot her with one of the new Winchester Power Max bullets 150 grain. The 30-06 shoots great in my Encore... recoil is there but it's not all that bad. Back in the summer I shot a three shot 100 yard group that measured 1 5/8"... and I'm certainly not a sharp shooter.
