7-08 Encore, 7-30 Waters TC

What's the velocity difference between these two? (14" TC barrel, 15" Encore barrel, I think 15 is the standard Encore length).

About 400 fps. Maybe more with heavier bullets.

Yup,
   but shooting a 7-30 out of a contender is pleasant, shooting a 7mm-08 out of an encore takes a little more resistance to recoil and muzzle blast.

:shock: hmmm, i don't think the 15" 7-08 encore is too bad at all with 120's. pretty close in comparison to my 30-30 ackley improved in the 14" contender with 130's. never shot a 7-30 for comparison though. :D

i get 2800fps avg. with 41.5gr h4895, 120gr nosler bt, rem brass, rem 9 1/2 primer, 2.87 oal. still under listed max, with great accuracy. 8)
