A Texas hunt to remember.
« on: February 15, 2010, 04:47:47 PM »
Just got back from an axis deer hunt with my Family and friends at a friends ranch. The hunting was great as we bagged a total of six axis deer, five were bucks, some in velvet.

Grandson on vigil for prey!

And the food wasn't bad either:

A good time was had by all!

Nicely done.  Those steaks are making me hungry!  That camo rifle looks familiar.  Is that the r-25 or 15?  It looks just like my new R-25 in .243...

No, not on that long of a shot. That is one of my Grandsons, I lent him my Marlin 35 Rem. to hunt with. He did get a good shot at about 65 yards down hill but overshot just a hair. There will be other Days, It was his first trip.
