WilliamLayton, you did ask
« on: March 29, 2010, 02:06:47 AM »
And...I'm excited.  A while ago I posted a few questions about converting a gov't sized 1911A1 to commander length and learned a whole bunch of stuff.  But, you did ask for an update on just what is going on with my 1974 gov't Colt.  There's not much going on yet, but the planning fun has started since I am officially on the waiting list with Dave Erickson over at http://www.conditionone.us/

I expect to have a great, full sized 1911 when it's done and built to uncommon standards - of course, all 1911s are special.

Best regards - redleg

Erickson comes with good reputation--I know you will be happy with his work--especially on the blendings, which he is noted for.
When you get along in your planning/thinking tell us what you have planned for him to do and what parts you have chosen.
Your doing good---aint it fun :).
Blessings
