I would like to find an old story I read as a kid.The story,can't remember if fact or fiction,is about a hunter who comes a cross a Cape Buffalo Bull.The Buffalo charges and the hunter reaches back for his rifle.The native African gun barrer was gone.The hunter did not have time do anything but jump to a tree and climb out of range of the buffalo.The buffalo charged back and forth under the tree.The hunter had a 9mm pistol,if I remember right,and unloaded it into the back of the buffalo.
Now that is all I remember of the story.I can't remember who the writer was or if the hunter was rescued from his perch in the tree.
If anyone can come up with any ideas.Please share your thoughts.
