I am in love with triple seven! I had heard much about it being more potent than the other s, so I was ready for that. The clean up is what sold me. It is without a doubt the easiest cleanup there is!

Kinda like black powder on steroids tried some and liked it, the reason, because of the 9/11 thing a local supplier is quitting after 40yrs. Shame. But figured if I was going to something in the replica, may as well try the latest and greatest. Thing was that impressed me, the stuff does go off fast, and same pt of aim, for a 60gn Patched round ball load, I have to reduce by 1/2 to 30gns for the same pt of impact at 25yds. So that is what I will use if I can not get black.
Take care and have fun. Swany

Lube Question
« Reply #2 on: November 06, 2003, 08:16:24 AM »
OK, here's a question I've got for an experienced Triple 7 user.

I've got an older .45 caliber CVA percussion rifle I'm using for deer hunting.  I've cast up a bunch of TC Maxi-balls and need to know what kind of lubricant to use on them.

Should I use a conventional lube, such as 50/50 Beeswax/Crico lube or can I use something like a Lee Tumble lube on them?
