I have an old, beat up Suburban that I am keeping for the sole purpose of hauling a group of my buddies around on the weekends to canvas for Congressman Gene Green's
opponent, for Ron Paul, and for Mary Landrieu's
opponent.
I am also looking hard at City Counsel, the judgeships, and other elected officials for whom I'll volunteer.
We can talk all we want, it is fun to pontificate
; but, until we are willing to give up a few weekends at the range, we are going to lose the very freedoms we cherish.
I encourage us all to get busy, this is the time Reagan spoke of when he said the following:
"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free."
