Tea party..our best chance to curb and/or oust big government.
« on: February 08, 2010, 12:28:59 AM »
  Here's an interview of an attendee who describes the "tea party" well, and in a succinct manner. He explains clearly it's aims
  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQ1Sg5I_dus&NR=1

       The interviews and Sarah's speech made it clear..the Tea Party owes nothing to either major party. They hold 40% of the voters' loyalty. That's more than either the dermocrats or Republicans !

   Sarah gave a great speech and one can get the replay either in whole or in part..on   www.youtube.com  .
  A couple notable comments by her;

  " When you're hitting zero for three..it's time to stop lecturing...and start listening!"

  Addressing the war on terror; "We need a Commander in chief, not a lawyer speaking from a lectern."

Yup we need to get involved now in Republican primaries, not wait and bellyache because they don't run who we like. The tea parties are waking the politicians and people up to that fact. I looked up the Wyoming Republican [arty web page and it looks like it hasn't been changed since the last general election. The Republicans running a lousy candidate is why we have a Democrat govenor at a time when we need a good strong man. I was even forced to vote for him after vowing to never ever vote for another Dem after the Clinton joke.

We need to be very careful though that it doesn't dissolve into a third party, that will guarantee a second term for the Bamster.

  The Reps here in NY State need a wakeup also ! they are talking of running an old party hack retread, Rick Lazio ...for governor. This year, when they stand a chance of taking the job, they want to stick with samo-samo.
  Judging by how close the Tea Party backed independent came to taking the special congressional election this past fall..they ought to start endorsing the Tea Party candidates. The Republicans ran a party hack liberal, while the Tea Party backed an independant. The Republicans choice got about 5%..more than enougfh to have put the independent over the top.
  The Tea Party did not bow to the Republicans then and I don't expect them to do so now. Perhaps it is time (here anyway) for the Republicans to start endorsing the Tea Party candidate !

What happened in NY is just exactly how it should work. The Republican party seems to be old and tired. They need a kick in the butt. The tea party is telling them if you don't get your act together you will be history.

The tea party is then new third party.

If they fall in lock step with the repubs, then they will be just another fringe group.

The repubs and democraps are both so big and so corrupt, they are no longer Representative of WE the People

The only solution is going where none of us want to go.

I like Sarah, Dont know If Id vote for her
