Book of Eli
« on: February 22, 2010, 07:21:32 PM »
Took my son to see it Saturday, really liked it. Its nice to see a post-apocalyptic movie that's not consumed by the circumstances and actually has a message of hope. That said, some of the "survival techniques" he used were interesting. Anybody else see it? What did you think?

Most likely I will catch it on DVD.  If its worthwhile and teaches anything important I'll add it to my movie library.

Sort of did the same thing with "I am Legend,"  an incredibly dark and non-fun flick!

Many movies I find depict things not to do during a crisis!

But I hope "Book of Eli" will indeed be a good show.   ;)

I thought it to be a pretty good movie. The subject matter was sure strange to be coming out of hollywierd, and the final twist when you look into Eli's eyes was very good. I thought that put a very good spin on the story.

Just ate lunch and was thinking about a scene where he cooks a cat on a spit, and collects the fat in what appears to be a shoe polish tin. Uses it later for lip balm. I keep a boresnake in a tin like that, and now have another use for it!  ;D

The movie was entertaining but I doubt he would have lasted as long as he did outside of Hollywood.

Saw it the day it came out. After seeing Avatar it was disappointed.

It was a good movie, I have always liked Mila.

It will make a good rental
