I have used both for squirrel but cannot really tell a difference wound wise. I bought the segmented hp's not knowing that they were supposed to split apart on impact until I had already taken about 4 squirrel with em'. Even after knowing how they are supposed to work I cannot see much difference, I know they both kill squirrels equally well. Trajectory is great, for a rimfire. I did find one of the segmented hp's intact once, which makes me wonder how often that actually happens, since most .22's go right through squirrels. I love the stingers in my rifle, but prefer the quieter standard velocity in my revolvers. All that extra energy is usually lost anyway in a revolver. What are you going after with these?
