I use IRS (your folks) data because you would want to put down any Conservative source, Tax paid as a basis of income is what you progressives believe & those are the numbers dude. I don't live in your Socialist World & thats all there is to that. But the folks currently in power, Obamanites everywhere admire your hammer & sickle view.
As far as hammering the Corporations, anyone who has actually ran a business knows the fruits of that one
& folks removed from it don't, no biggie. You will get your way as soon as your guy figures a way to take a larger piece from the Corporations, he wants it via cap & trade but he may have to siphon them a different way which will siphon us, a no-brainer.
Well did you get up on the wrong side of bed this morning., I hardly consider you a conservative, but realize in your own mind you think you are. You use IRS data because you have no other data to support your myths. I worked over 30 years in the private sector and 24 of those years running my own business, thus providing me with a comfortable retirement. I'm also involved with a partner in a venture to bring a few unique materials to market and to market a few other materials; and to broker these materials to several vendors and end users. So save your tired corporo 'whoa with the system' rhetoric for some poor wage slave willing to listen to myths and stories. I have first hand experience with the tax codes,,,I know a few of the rules, and I know who pays and escapes taxation, and who gets the bulk of government subsidies. I hardly think of the Boston Globe or Money Mag as far leftist publications as well.. You on the other hand could not answer 2 simple tax questions and beleive the recent SCOTUS ruling to be Constitutional and promoting real democracy.
If pointing out a few truths about taxes relative to corporations is considered progressive lies in your dichotomic mind, than you have more problems than revealed in your rancor. Until people, just like yourself, get off their high horse and look at some real data, stop believing in myth and other propaganda or believing only 1/2 of the governemnt propaganda sticking to their wall; and attacking everything in this country that is ascribed to their feared progressive enemies and all the time calling this conservatism or patriotism then we will continue to slide into oblivion.....and this is the real anti-Americanism of today and the real war waged against the American citizen.....some conservatism there, ??

Did not answer, not could not. Unfortunately, I did not read past that "hardly think you are a Conservative" bit, thinking how stupid that is & put out a response. At that point I closed the laptop & drove to the NWA Regional ,just got back. First question, The whole idea of paying a preferential rate is for further investment, whether done or not, or at least the purpose.Of course with Cap. gains as you know the rate paid could vary, whether talking long or short term. Without any guilt issues I will do what I can that is legal, having paid plenty regardless & everybody with over 75K is paying too much, allmost everybody but of course some can take advantage of quite a lot, of course does not change the fact of who are paying the bulk of taxes. If the IRS tables is a myth, supply the real data.
Concerning the SCOTUS ruling, I said we were better off before McCain Feingold, & hence we would not have this ruling, but not as worried about some being able to participate in the same freedoms your large Corp buddies GE & the Media allready have. In fairness I think you did not read my last post in that thread or forgot, never said I liked it,remove the right of the leftest groups who allready have a voice & start over is OK with me, but don't exclude some groups & not others.
BTW, It is not relevant if you don't consider me a Conservative & if you don't feel you are a progressive, I am fine with that! It could be we Judge each other incorrectly.
Waging war with the American Citizen, by thinking those who work to get ahead pay too much taxes, what nonsense.
We will just agree to disagree, no biggie!
