Hello again fellows!
I have a couple of questions about the DSA Stg 58 A FAL. I found one at a really great price, $899.
Is this type FAL under the mertic or inch pattern?
Would this weapon be worth selling my USC in terms of vaule later years?
Anyone heard any trouble with them?
Just how good are they?
DSA builds a good product. They bought a load of surplus Austrian STG-58 components some time ago, & also got the original blueprints & tooling. Their STG58 is basically an affordable surplus parts gun, where their SA58 is more pricy, & built w/ mostly new components.
These guns are both reliable & accurate - if built right. A real kick at the range - and addictive. Get your hands on a well built carbine (not a $500 Century gun show special), & you will never look at a 5.56 poodle shooter the quite same way again. I promise!
From an investment standpoint, the long term growth (or at least stability) is found in the PRE-IMPORT BAN (not the '94 crime bill) guns, or a custom built by a known FAL specialist smith.
Here is a shot of my custom carbine:
