crossman g1 ???
« on: February 16, 2010, 04:42:17 AM »
i picked up a g1 extreme at dicks for like $85 with a coupon for squirrel season but never got to shoot it.     living in the burbs i figured a pellet gun would be a lot better selection over the 22.  does anyone have any experience with one?  i am sure like with every gun they have their quirks?  i think i threw away the paperwork that came with the gun.  what kind of maintenance do i need to do to a pellet gun?  are  there things to avoid?  thanks.

Get you some of the heavy (for 177 that is), Crosman premier pellets and I think you will be pleased with it.
Don't expect 1000 fps though unless you are using those PBA things. I don't care for those and velocity
is a far second place to accuracy anyway. Main thing to avoid is getting oil in the piston area.
It can detonate and damage your gun (or you)

Get the heavy 10.5hr RN pellets from airgun express. They sell them in the bulk boxes for cheap  (they are made buy crosman). I shoot them out of all of my air guns (Even my old 1940 CZ youth) and they work better then any I have tried, for accuracy. and killing power.
