I hope this is in the right place.

Does anyone know if the CCI shotshell in 44 mag/spcl will function in a 44-40?

It'd probably fire, but since the 44 mag case is quite a bit smaller at the base than a 44WCF, it would likely split open. I wouldn't try it.
