Got a new project gun today

I picked up a new Handi 45-70 today. The synthetic version. I intend to make it a project gun.  My ideas are to shorten it, perhaps a new front sight, and maybe a Burris Fastfire sight eventually. Paid $225.

BTW, Uncle Lee's in Greenville Ky had several SB2 HX 44 mags on his shelf. Most had a Barska scope attached.

I have had a 45-70 Handi for a long time and decided on another. I have wanted to do one up "my way" for a long time.  This will be a slow step by step process due to funds, but that will make it fun.
