cblake I bought a set from E. A. Brown. I put pepper laminated on my Encore 209x50. The fit and finish was excellent and made the gun more pleasurable to shoot, better balanced, and cut the recoil down. I don't know what T/C was thinking when they put that cheap synthetic stock on a quality gun like the Encore. I don't have anything but the M/L barrel right now but I plan on buying all the forends while they are readily available.  I'm sure I'll be buying at least two centerfire barrels one heavy and the other sporter weight. Check them out.

Good Luck

I've heard decent reports on Boyds' Stocks, but don't have any firsthand experience.

DesertRam, these are Boyd stocks and I was very impressed by the quality. One note! if you are buying a 209x50 forend you have to take the steel clip that holds the ramrod tight out of your factory forend and reinstall it in your new forend which is pre drilled for its installation.

I have a Boyds stock and 2 different forends. I got it in the pepper and put it on my stainless and it is sweet. Everything bolted right on. Finish is nice...
