Eastern Slope Elk
« on: March 09, 2010, 08:15:50 AM »
Is there a decent opportunity to take an Elk on the eastern slope? Where might a non-resident expect to draw a tag, or is it best to wait for the second or third season?

Lonshot, I'm a west sloper, sorry I've got no info on the 'other' side.

#1oneshot,
There might be a decent opportunity to take elk on the eastern slope if you can find private landowners that would allow you to hunt!! Best elk hunting is mainly on the western slopes!
I always used to go during the second season, but that can be a crap shoot with the weather!
