Anything wrong with the 638?
« on: January 06, 2009, 05:40:37 PM »
I have been looking at small revolvers and I keep coming back to the S&W 638. They seem perfect for concealed carry or even home defense. I have never fired one. I think I want one. Anything wrong with them?

I'm with Graybeard on this one, my M38 is my favorite snub carry gun.  The new 638s are just as stylish (my thought)  and are made to handle +P ammo.  You really cannot go wrong with them.  JMTCW.  Mikey.

I LOVE mine!!
Its a good companion and can be carried many ways. It allows for a SA aimed shot or no snag hammer for the fast double action shots.. Overall its a good one!!

There's not a thing wrong with a 638.  I shoot a 438 Bodyguard and wouldn't trade it for the world.  The 637 hammer hangs me up...I sold it in favor of the shrouded 438 and have never looked back.

Nothing at all. I cut down my 637 hammer and added the CT Laser.
