Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck both have gone soft lately? O'Reilly has been soft for a few months and just lately Beck has too. Beck slipped on the radio this morning and sheepishly said he was told to tone it done- can't remember the exact words. Who has got to these guys, the network, feds, or have they got bought off?

I just watched Beck and I couldn't tell that he was backing off. He held the red phone up and dared the whitehouse to call him and dispute the facts he was presenting. No call. Never has been since he installed the phone. O'Reilly is more about ratings and straddling the fence. Sometimes he is right and sometimes he is wrong, but mostly in the middle for ratings.

The IRS audited Beck here just a few months ago. Not surprising, probably wanted to intemidate him. Don't think it worked. He is still talking about what's going on. One thing I have noticed, and he mentioned it several times in the last couple weeks. He's bringing up religion more now. He's probably come to the realization, like a few of us already have, if left up to the men in charge now, without devine intervention, this country is in the toilet. And there will be hell to pay. My take on Bill O'Reilly is that he doesn't like to be labelled as a hardline conservative.  He likes to think of himself as "fair and balanced" and will often times torture the point.  It seems strained to me, but that's his thing.  I don't believe Mr. O'Reilly is on anyones leash, nor do I believe is Glen Beck.

I would doubt that the IRS plays into the perception of a softening by either Bill O'Reilly, or Glen Beck.  If there were any truth to it, it would be a trove of ammunition for them to fire at government and in particular, the regime we find ourselves inflicted with.  Are Obama and company that dumb and nefarious?  You betcha, but I don't think they would hand the two talkers a ready made issue.  It would be an impeachable act for Obama to use a government agency to screw with his detractors.  Call me naive, but I'm not quite there--yet.

I think it would be ideal if many more States got on the Illegal Immigration "band wagon".  There is strength in numbers.  Waiting to see how the other guy fares is a bad way.  

It would be telling to see where the real divisions are in this country.  Probably centered around large cities and metropolitian areas versus the more vast and less populated areas.  

As far as Beck, he like Rush is ratings (and advertiser) driven.  I loath their shows when they start hawking someone's product.  Shamless income generation and loss of credibility in the "voice".

I find it more interesting that conservative radio is easily able to show how (and discredit) the "syndicated" media is on the same page, each with the same lead sotry, each with the same by-line, each with the "same voice".  They cut to commercial at the same time.  Their first five or six stories are almost all the same.  

What a bunch of "pie holes" are the syndicated media talking heads.  How dull the masses must be to listen to and absorb that crap day in and day out.  

I much prefer Conservative Radio, in light of TM7's warning.  It is entertaining to say the least.  I balance it out (a little) listening to the local Liberal Talk Radio too for an enlightening and often thought provoking laugh.

i dont pay attention to oreily, but i think beck may have toned it down to try to gain more people in his audience.  the whole end of the world, americas going to blow up thing sometimes frightens people new to our views.  if you have noticed, he taken on more of a "teacher" role lately.

It surprises me that some think that Beck is,"advertiser driven", when it was all over the news when people called for a boycott by advertisers against Beck. Beck lost some over that and he kept on doing what he is doing as if nothing happened. When the
Whitehouse assigned that woman to watch Beck and report on the,"disinformation", that Beck was supposedly spreading, Beck set up a phone line for direct contact with that woman. They could call at any time and correct him if he got it wrong. They have never called. Beck educates people that are willing to listen and backs it up with facts, videos, quotes, and history. It's a free country and folks can listen or not. I think Beck is fighting the good fight, but I have little hope for America. If God does not punish America to some extent then He should apoligize to Sodom and Gomorrah. I don't believe that all bad things that happen are God's judgement. I believe that alot the bad things that are happening and will happen in America are just the consequences of our bad decisions and immoral character. I see O'Reilly as the John McCain of news, wishy-washy. Not in the some league as Beck. Also Beck has had alot of death threats and spends alot of money on security. In spite of the threats to himself and his family, he keeps fighting the good fight and telling the truth. I think it says something good about Beck that Dr. Martin Luther King's niece comes on the show and supports Beck. Thats got to drive progressives crazier than they already are. If you don't like Beck, fine. Name some one else that is more valuble in the media today. I guess it's hard to believe, in this day and age, that some one could actually have good motives for what they do. Oh well.

I agree saddlebum, I think he is doing a good job of trying to alert the people to the dangers we face. I how ever have no faith in the American people to do any thing. They have been brain washed by the government schools for to long. I hold little hope this country will survive another twenty-five years.

If I were Beck and the IRS audit me as intimatation I would have had the audit filmed and harrassed them back.  Asking if this is how they treated Tim Geitner and if so I want the same penility rate if I am found to owe any thing.

I will say this, Beck has a way of diluting his message when he really gets on a roll. There are a lot of people who upon hearing him think he is some sort of crazy zealot who is just about deranged. The message is being ignored, because of the messenger.  Give the man a Bill Bennet delivery style and the teaching info of Beck and the message could be chilling to a lot of folks.

He entertains me, I was already of very similar opinion before I heard of him.

I got interested in the stuff Beck is now talking about around 11 or 12 years ago. Most all of what he says is true, but sometimes his attempts at being clever or funny and becomes instead, annoying and distracting. Bill Bennett to me is boring, so I suppose it is just what you personally like in a delivery system.
As far as Beck's SPONSORS, one gets good sponsors, where one FINDS, good sponsors. It to me is moot point and serves no purpose to criticize WHAT keeps him on the air. The fact is, someone is FINALLY speaking out. If one wants to see and hear TRULY OBNOXIOUS MANNER, tune into www.inforwars.com and listen to the very "Obnoxious, and self promoting" Alex Jones. He makes me want to file my teeth with a hoof rasp, and yet, most of what he says is true. I just can't stand to listen to the man.

Yep, Bennet is boring. But you don't hear folks ridiculing him. Even those who agree with him tend to shake their heads at the antics.

I would like to think Glen is being sanded down a bit for his own good, not for the good of a network.
