Contender 410 rabbit hunting
« on: February 10, 2010, 04:05:09 PM »
I went rabbit hunting this weekend with my 410 G2 and had a blast.  Killed a couple.  I think it's the best rabbit gun out there.  Easy to tote and shoot.  If you have one of these you have to try it.

Have to agree. I was looking for a 410 barrel also for my Contender at guns shows when I found a Custom Shop 28 ga. This is a great bunny buster also. I think I'll look for a 45/410 combo barrel in 10" or so. Anyone out there have one with vented rib 4 sale. Let me know.
Thanks

;D I don't own a contenter nor am I likely to, but when reading Fur-Fish-Game, the shooting editor has written several articles on bunny busting with that weapon and a 410 barrel, and I think a 6 gun that is for 410...here my rabbit hunting is done with a .22 hornet, my pal tried beagles in this country...had a blast until a jack too his beagle out of hearing just at dusk...he figures the coyotes ate it...too bad, nothing like beagles and bunnies.......

I have a TC Contender with the 45 Colt/410 pistol barrel. Works very well with 3" #6 shot on rabbits..............

Have both the oct. and the round barrels in 45/410.  Like the weight of the oct. best.  Great on rabbits, squirrels and have taken a few quail on the wing with it.

The wing shooting sounds fun.  I went on one of the paid pheasant hunts with my friends once.  If I did it again I think I would take the G2 410.
