Handi-Grip Thumbhole Stock
« on: February 20, 2010, 10:49:19 PM »
Has anyone stuck one of these on a Huntsman or Sidekick yet? They may not be the prettiest, but they are ambidextrous, so the lefties can use them too. If anyone has orderd one, what was the price?

They are on the accessories page, but come on certain rifles as well. When I first seen these, the angle (drop at the comb) of the stock was geared more toward a shotgun than a rifle, but the ones I have seen on rifles is right for scope use. Here is a link to the stock and forend combo. I don't care for the molded in sling swivel stud (for lack of a better word), but imagine a regular stud could be installed when that one breaks, or before. Wonder if they would sell just the stock without the forend?

Here is a link about the stock. Notice the drop in the comb in the early pics, but the rifles have a normal comb height for scope shooting.

I sure would like to try one of these stocks on my huntsman. I have a boyds stock and it is really built up too much in the grip area doesn't feel quite right. I have a regular sythetic stock on my .357 mag and it is real nice, the grip and also the formed checkerng are pretty good.

Mac posted a thread on them in the Centerfire forum, they won't be available as accessories until April for $49 a set, Handi-grip rifles are available now tho.

Tim,

Thanks for the timeline of availability and the price. I am aware of the rifles availability, but am not going to purchase one just to get this stock. I would just like to buy the stock, but I could probably sell the forend in the classifieds if I were to get a set down the road?

I have an imitation synthetic Boyds thumbhole stock on one of my Sidekicks, but thought I might like to add one of these genuine authentic synthetic thumbholes to my collection. ;D

Here is my imitation synthetic. ;)

I have been looking for a set up like yours for a long time.  Where did you get this stock and is it for a Sidekick.
